Juicy Pear Needle Felted Soft Sculpture

$22.00
buy from shop

This fresh green pear with a golden highlight is entirely needle felted. It measures approximately 4 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide not including the leaf. It looks great on a shelf or windowsill. It would also make a wonderful pincushion because the wool keeps your pins and needles clean and sharp.

Due to handcrafting, no two are exactly alike.

------

What is felting? There are two types of felting: wet and dry. Both methods can produce sheets or three-dimensional shapes.

Dry or needle felting involves "tangling" the fibers together using special barbed needles. It is a very time-consuming and often painful process. (I poke myself a lot!)

Wet felting is the process of fusing wool fibers using soap, water and agitation. It takes a bit of finesse and skill to get the results you want
