Art Deco Leigh Potters/Leighware Platter - Green Wheat c. 1928
Ohio meets art deco -- and it worked. Produced between 1928 and 1939, midwestern sensibility met style in Leigh Potter's Green Wheat pattern.
This platter has ziggurat-stepped edges, painted with a metallic silver stripe, with four beautiful, stylized hand-painted stalks of spring green wheat.
Excellent centerpiece for any table and a great example of fine American dinnerware.
Dimensions: Approximately 16 inches (l). Pattern designed by Gale Turnball for Leigh Potters of Alliance, Ohio. Typical crazing to glaze, chip under rim.
