In China the peony is a symbol of wealth and honours because of the way the flower grows, and because of its connection to cinnabar, the medicine of immortality. Peonies have such a short growing season, why not have a perpetual peony on your wall?
This is an original mixed media painting measuring 5" x 5" x 1.5" and was created with professional grade acrylics, gouache and inks. It was created on a sanded birch art board with a 1.5" deep cradle. Piece comes signed and wired for hanging.
